Ward Leonard currently designs and manufactures generators and gen sets that are used in thousands DoD systems, such as the Army’s Firefinder Radar, the Ohio, Virginia, and Seawolf Class Attack subs, and CVN-21, CVN-77, DD-X, and DDG programs. We also offer both Tech Systems and ElectroDynamic (EDY) motor gen sets for service in the surface Navy as well as submarine duty. We have the technology, electromechanical capabilities, blueprints and skill set to refurbish these units to “as new” condition. Ward Leonard also designs, engineers, manufactures and tests new MG sets and Secondary Propulsion Motors (SPMs) for custom applications and overhaul/refurbish systems currently installed on the fleet.
